Even Tobin caught some big trout on Fat Boy last winter.
Fat Boy weighs 7/8 ounce to get the same neutral-density effect of Tobin's 1/4 oz TSL grasswalker.
Grasswalker is kind of a soft-plastic Fat Boy, and I think Tobin worked for years to get the design right.
You can fish the grasswalker on lighter tackle, and it's great from a kayak on a 7' ML rod.
You can fish the grasswalker in places the fat boy would be constantly grassed and hung up.
Multiple trebles on fat boy are kind of fish velcro, if they bite they're stuck - the effect with TSL grasswalker is that fish choose to hang onto it and even come back for more - they really don't get that it's fake food - add a little procure, and even more so. Hook sets with the big single swimbait hooks aren't as reliable, you have to work at it, but hey, you may get 3 tries. |

I do agree they are similar but I think they both have their place. I have caught a lot of fish on fatboys when they werent eating a tsl and the other way around. |

No question, bro, Fat Boy is a great zone dog-walking lure, fished with MH tackle, in places where grass isn't an issue - and big trout velcro.
Both lures let you vary your presentation from quick to crawl. |

| My BP speck 29" is on a fire tiger one knocker. But I've caught more 24+ specks on a mirrodine XL. I'm my experience color doesn't matter, its whatever you have confidence in will catch the fish... They make different color lures are to catch the fishermen.. |

| I am going to have to get me some twitch baits to try when the topwater bite dies down. Plus I think it should increase the hookup ration. |

Spot On!!! Also the Grass Walker will catch them in places where you'll lose a lot of Fat Boys or Fat Boys get too grassed up. Lot's of late fall and winter will have a lot of floating grass until mid to end of december. I use both in different situations. |
