Went and gave a double donation of blood this morning which brings me up to about 55 gallons. Got home around noon and the rains hadn't come in yet although the winds were howling. Decided to you go out anyway and The third cast I wound up catching this 23 in red.
on that same drift I picked up a few undersized trout. Went back for a second drift and picked up a keeper trout and a bunch of little bitty perch. Made a third rift and NADA. Listening to Cliff yesterday he said the old adage don't leave fish to find fish but many times you have to leave fish and come back to them. That's what I did with the wind howling so much I had to start my motor often because I ripped through the area real quick and that stirred up the fish. I fished a couple different areas and came back and drifted through the exact same spot I was out earlier and picked up another keeper trout and another 23 in red. I found all fish in transition water. what I mean by that is that there was dirty water then there was kind of brackish water and then gin Clear water. All the fish were in the transition zone between the ugly and the nice. it was only about 30 to 40 yards wide though so 40 mile an hour winds put you through it real quick |

I'd give, but I'm Officially DQ'ed.
Apparently, serving in the US Army, in the early 80's, in Germany, put's me at an elevated risk for 'MAD COW DISEASE"!!!! [insert dramatic music here]
Now I know where my really dark sense of humor comes from........ |

I would give too and donated over a gallon then had a melanoma removed and that's it for blood donation with the exception of pesky mosquitoes and green headed horseflies.
Nice presentation the other night. I want to see the rev the motor slick trick! _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

The Potato Chip Slick Trick is super effective on potlickers and birddoggers.
Crush up a bag of chips and sprinkle them on the water.
Makes a slick and gets a bird frenzy going.
When the potlickers head for it, you make your escape.

My cousin and brother tried to mess with me and dad doing that with cheetohs. Only problem when they went to take off, they forgot to pull up the trolling motor and they both got a nice shower when they came up on plane and the trolling motor hit the water. Dad and I just sat there and laughed from a couple hundred yards away and gave them a 10 pound penalty! |
