An update from my last trip that went very well and make up for those couple of months of colder weather.

I wanna also make a shout out to Anne bait shop in Ingleside. Very nice lady who had some real good prices on bait and tackle. Check here out cause she had live shrimp when alot of other shops didn't.

So starting off with Cos-way bait and tackle, the black drums have clearly moved. That might be unfortunate for some but reds , trouts, and sail cats are starting to pop up. Live shrimp is also becoming more readily available.
They had reports and I saw a jack get caught on the pier too. Very odd but hey its becoming summer so lets see what else can happen. I got a nice sail-cat out there too. I caught a sting ray too.

Afterwards I headed off to clems to check it out. Current was ripping but I saw trouts. Those trouts are so much more picky than the one at Cosway. I took a little break from fishing and decided to look for chill out till the sun came up. Caught one nice 17in trout and undersized red. Those green lights really bring the trouts it seems but they are very picky eaters.

Next day I head over to packery channel cause I heard sheep heads were there and gave it a shot. Personally I get sucked at packery channel and guess what skunked again.. I got a hot tip to hit the pillars at bobhall and caldwell. I ended up getting my limit at caldwell pier. I saw people cataching spanish macs and pomps out there. The water was beautiful and the weather was amazing. I can't wait to see the summer trouts later on. Good luck to everyone
