NE winds and a continued Coastal Flood Warning had the law enforcement shut down vehicle traffic on Padre Island National Seashore.
Ranger Buzz will let us know when it reopens.

So it sounds like I should make alternate plans for this weekend and not make the drive down from DFW.

This coming weekend looks superb. I'd make the trip. I'm hoping to make a trip actually.

I did look at the weather report and it looks great. Moderate temps, sunshine, and low winds but I am concerned about the high tides and having enough beach to camp on. Hopefully if the winds die down the extreme highs tides will go away and give us more beach to work with.
