Wanted to take wife and sis-in - law down beach Wed. But was told the Surf is to the dune lines.
Checked NOAA site and it shows level at 2.5 ft above mean sea level.
Does anyone know if the above is correct?
Thanks in advanced.

Was also told by a surfing buddy of mine that the sargassum at packery really bad. Does anybody have first-hand knowledge of what the sargassum is like south of Bob Hall. Was wanting to head out there Wednesday

Was a few miles south of bob hall Sat and Sun. Fished long rods in first and second guts. Weed was definitely there, but manageable if fishing upcurrent. But otherwise, it would pile up enough on your line like it does. Clumps were large in size. On the other side, it wasn't too thick to throw plastics and even did a little fly work before the wind picked back up.

We fished last Tues thru Thurs to 27mm. minimal weed in water. some sargassum on beach at high tide line. essentially a non-factor. alas, minimal fish as well. perhaps it was the full moon cycle.

I went yesterday evening. Seaweed was bad. You could fish one rod but it was constant work. Also the water was up close to the dunes. There's lots of weed from the dunes to the water all over the beach. Didnt see much bait. Did catch a Whiting and called it quits.
