Damn thieves broke into my boat storage unit in Aransas Pass. Luckily my boat was down at Baffin. They stole my Diawa Saltist reel on a diawa rod, a brand new looking Penn 114 on a stubby penn rod with roller guides, and my Aluminum jetty cart. Any leads to getting anything back and I

I did get a police report. Unfortunately I have no pics of the rods/reels, but the ones they didnt get will be getting their pictures taken. What gets me the most was they stole the $40 gaff I found for $10 at Academy!! The boat barn doesnt have cameras. We found 4 units that were hit! Needless to say we are moving to a different facility.

I've mentioned before, making a sweep of pawn shops one afternoon in Corpus looking at old firearms (ranch country), two teenagers were sweeping the same pawn shops selling rods, probably from their sweep of NPI boat docks the night before.

Pawn shops, craigslist, ebay.

Likely tweakers but you never know.

Did you all see the bloody pics of the Yetis that a guy had booby trapped on his boat in Rockport over the summer? It was ugly. The white and tan Yetis ended up red. Some still on the boat, some on the ground below it. That is what razor blades glued to the handles will do.

Evidently he got in trouble. As for the thieves? One was a kid with now jacked up fingers who is the son of a prominent LEO big wig in Aransas County or Rockport.

For proactively protecting his property???

This is why things don't get done. This is why we have assclowns like these running around.

He got in trouble because he was too stupid to keep his mouth shut.

I saw those. I think they got what they deserved. Based on the dollar amount of Yeti coolers I am sure that was felony level theft.

People are too nice.
My fishing buddy caught someone stealing and let them go.
I told him he was responsible for everything they steal from now on.
Cannot stand thieves.

Was is stolen by a person? Or did something grab your bait and take off with it?
Pretty crappy that we have to deal with this kind of stuff.

Wish it'd been the latter, but sadly not. Was in the bed of the truck with nets, tackle, ice chests and my buddies 2 extra rod & reels, but mine was on the side away from the rocks and less visible. I know, I should have put in the cab, but we never had any problems at this spot before and we weren't that far away. Folks fishing the surf side said that only thing strange they noticed was that somebody drove up in a gold or silver compact KIA wearing baggy pajama looking pants and looking like they didn't really belong there, but they didn't notice the actual theft.
