Howdy!

My wife and I will be visiting the Corpus and Aransas Pass areas next week, Monday - Wednesday and I was hoping (aside from good weather, lol) to get recommendations on some good seafood places. Ideally, would like a place that serves fresh local seafood. Other non-seafood places welcome as well and any bars/nightclubs to enjoy the nightlife.

If weather permits, we plan to check out a few fishing spots around Aransas Pass and should have a report later next week.

Thanks in advance, tight lines.

I have recently eaten at C'est Bon on South Padre Island Drive (SPID) in Flour Bluff twice recently and had great seafood, excellent service, and reasonable prices. I don't usually recommend restaurants, but this one is a hidden gem.

Thanks for the recommendations so far.

Hope the weather doesn't keep us off the water, but will probably stay on the bayside. I don't mind the rain as long as it isn't lightning.

Gonna have to look that one up. 1069? Is it the same location as the Big Fisherman?

If you make it to Port A, - Shells. It's where the locals go. [Don't mind the AC that never seems to keep up, the food is good and makes up for it]. BONUS : Giddities , just across from the Tarpon Inn- the 1/2 pound Angus burger is just that, a simple burger, that is VERY good.

Awesome, thanks again everyone for the suggestions.

We're giving the babysitter (Grandma) the rundown and getting ready to head down first thing in the morning. Praying thunderstorms keep enough distance to allow some time on the water. Gotta prime crabbing spot so we're gonna set that regardless and let it work while we play. Should come home with a cooler of blue crabs at the least.

The Blue Clove On Horne.
Check them out on yelp.
Be advised, the Diablo Shrimp is Hot.
It is very good but we had to mix it into a pasta dish to tame it enough to be able to eat it.
I second Scuttlebutts.
And I vote for Black Diamond Oyster Bar, too.

We ate there last night, and loved it. Have driven by it all sandy and nasty many times, but last night, for once, I was ... well, not nasty, and I had my wife and daughter. They thought it was great as well.
