We are heading to Palacios in the middle of May. Can keeper blue crabs be caught at that time?? What are the best months for crabbing??

Crabs are just about everywhere, including tin the surf. We have caught more in the surf than anywhere else, but there are more in some areas than others. I encourage you to go to Texas Parks and wildlife site and read the regs, so you are legal. There is also a blue crab site I've looked at more than once. We always used chicken necks we picked up at the grocery store for a little of nothing, but with them you need a weight, because they float. Just tie the bait on a string of reasonable length, throw it out, and when a crab is bitting they pull the line tight. Slowly pull the line in and net the crab! If they let go at some point just stop pulling the line and they usually pick up the bait again, then proceed pulling the crab in. Good luck and enjoy!

Is bejeebers one of the crafty word edits that Corpusfishing is famous for? Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think it would be "warm fecal matter' if it were the corpusfishing word edits LOL!

Now that I did a preview and typed the S-H word it changed it to poo! Smile

I was casting standing just over the first sand bar, around lunch today, and I saw first, one sting ray, come cruising - couldnt make out his exact shape, but his color was that leather-brownish color, he went by, and then in the next 10 minutes 6 more came by, they were all headed north, I didnt see any set down, and then I started worrying about how many may have already, so i did a very intense foot dragn walk out there when I left.

Unbelievable for me because I hear most of people fear to catch Blue Crabs.
