My son James, 46 years old, was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. Going to have for have a radical prostatectomy. I know how he's feeling because in 1997 I came down with the same thing. It's scary and every year going back for PSA become scary just as well. Hopefully they caught it very early. which I think they did. What's scary is that my dad and four of his brothers all died of prostate cancer. Prayers for a full recovery would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers for a full recovery for James. I come from a family with similar history, and I hope he has caught it early because of that knowledge. Help keep his immune system up while he is going thru this. Fingers crossed!

So sorry your son is experiencing this problem. My thoughts and prayers for him and his extended family. I've read where prostate problems are genetic, and your family's experience is a good example. I can't help, but wonder if stem cell technology is applicable to prostate cancer?
