Interesting! Both of the engines are fairly new, so maybe this is Stan's cause for his corrosion and maybe it's a warranty issue? |
It's probably under warranty, I just put a new zip tie on there rather than wait 17 months for premiere to work on it. I actually replaced all of them. The bottom hoses are a little tough to get to, but the uppers are easy. I'm not sure if Stan's motor uses them. I was a little suprised that's all that was holding the water lines to the engine block. |

its still sitting at Premier Yamaha. No word from them. Im sure Ryan is doing his best. I did fire off a mail to Yamaha corporate. Telling them my side of the story. Everyone agrees that there has been a leak from day one. A small leak undectable at idle. It is not under warranty as far as I know but it should be maybe they will step up to the plate and do the right thing. Have faith. Missing some good fishing.cheers IMS. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Just got off the horn with Yamaha corporate they seem to be interested now. And will be checking with Premier Yamaha into the problem. We will see how the apples work out. This is one of those deals where its really no ones fault. Its a factory problem and someone just needs to step up to the plate and take responsibility. Yamaha asked me if there was anything behind the boat like a transducer or something that would throw water up? I said nothing behind my boat except a 150 Yamaha and its not violent its smooth. I dont care how long they keep it just find the leak. Or else that motor wont last another 2 years. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Premier Yamaha is doing a great job on my boat. They freed up the throttle body/ intake saving me some dough. Cant run it full throttle until a part comes in that I broke trying to get the throttle to open up. Its a 12 dollar part but a hard one to find. When they get it on they will be able to run it full throttle in the tank and hopefully find where the water is coming from. Its just one of those things. Glad the wind has been blowing 35 mph for the last 2 months. Im ready for some fishing. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Well at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel now! Hope you get it all figured out. Boat problems suck! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |
