Went down last Wednesday through Sunday. Conditions were tough. Cold front still blowing when we arrived on Wednesday. Thursday winds turned from the Southeast blowing hard. Ran up to the landcut and not much to show for. Friday still blowing out the Southeast so decided to stay close Port. Fished south towards Bennies shack and later moved to the East cut. Ended the day with 2 nice reds and 6 keeper trout 16-19". Saturday decided to run back up to the landcut and fish before the cold front pushed in. The front blew in at 1 pm and man did it blow in. We took shelter at a cabin, ate lunch, then made the long boat ride back to Port. Back at the house by 3 pm and that was it for fishing. Packed up and headed home Sunday morning. Not the greatest fishing but we still had a good time down there. Love Mansfield!

| Yeah, it's a cool place and not all that far from Corpus. The deer are fun too. Nice pics and good job being safe and taking shelter while that front blew in. Supposed to have another like that this Saturday. |
