Fishing at Mile 24. Parked sideways, lots of room above me. 10' from truck to water. Put out orange traffic cones to keep folks from driving through my rods/lines. I'm on the 2nd bar putting bait out. Some jerk in a white pickup drives IN the water, AROUND one orange cone, under/through my fishing lines, OVER another orange cone. Broke 2 of my lines off(lucky, didn't break any rods). I hope whatever he was in a hurry for was worth ruining a truck as he was driving in a lot of salt water

PS: 5 small blacktips

There were some jackasses out today. A couple of little guys whose daddies bought them big trucks trying to intimidate us in the subie - Northbound has the right away coming off the island, whether you can read the signs or not. Sorry to hear, but not suprised.

We were menaced by a white F-150 with black trim- wheels, grill, rod holders all black with tinted windows and Texas plates. Driving about 50-60 mph right in front of us and dogs on hard packed sand. A real ****(( this one was.

Sad to say but, I spend a lot of my time on charters now watching for other vehicles and making sure none of my customers get run over. It's just a matter of time before someone ruins it for everyone on PINS. The only good thing about the guys running there trucks in the water is they won't last very long. Of course, in most cases it seems, daddy will just buy them another one. Jeff Wolda

At some point people generally learn (or get educated). Glad you managed to keep a level head. How was the fishing?

My wife, son and I were on mustang island a few months ago had 4 rods staked at the water line with my truck about 25' up and lines ran out. Some old guy came by on his beach cruiser and proceed to cuss me out in front of my two year old and tell me I was trying to kill people by fishing on the beach because he could of ran into my line...ya if you rode your bike into the water... he started to ride off and I walk back towards my truck he had turned around and grabbed one of my smaller lines and proceeded to ride down the beach line in hand. Didn't realize what was going on until all 25ibs braid had gotten spooled. Called the game wardens saw local pd talking to him about a mile down the beach
