Hello everyone! I've really enjoyed the recent reports and hope to have one of my own for everyone soon as we're headed down for a couple nights on PINS. Does anyone in the Corpus or nearby area have any shark baits (jack, ray etc.) they'd be willing to part with sometime on Friday midday before we make our way down beach? More than happy to kick over some $ for the help. Please pm me and let me know...

Thanks! Very Happy

Try giving the bait bucket in the bluff a call.

I'll give them a ring for sure. I've also gotten a hold of Roy's and Clems to see what they have as I usually would in advance of a PINS trip. I have a friend flying to town from Denver tomorrow for this trip, so I'm trying put in some extra effort to ensure we have solid baits to put him on a good fish. And of course, we'll be fishing hard for freshies of too Laughing

I caught a mess of cownose in the surf 2 weeks ago. I can give you 1 of those. I also have a big bonita or 2 that you can have. Been in the freezer a while but would probably still work. Probably have a few other rays as well. I can tell you where to get some fresh rays if you wanna gig some.

Took my boy out the other day to gig rays, couldn't find any in the surf, talked to some people, they said I missed it by two days.
If you don't can you share where I could gig some (no boat though).
Or if it's your secret spot and don't want the whole state running over it, I understand.

Be sure to have a Plan B.
The gulf shrimping season started last weekend and a huge number of sharks have left the beach to shadow shrimp nets. The wind will kinda suck, too.
We wish you the best and hope to hear a great report. Weather was much better than predicted on July 2, maybe you'll get a great day like that this weekend, too.
