Have been thinking about repowering my boat. Any thoughts on where I should go to get this done either here in corpus or surrounding areas?

Huff Marine is my very favorite dealer/mechanic in CC, I bought my most recent boat from Rockport Marine and things have gone well a year in.

I would avoid Gulf Coast and Premier.

Check with Pat at South Texas Marine in Alice. He will pick your boat up, repower and deliver back to you in Corpus. Best part, he will service the motor at your house for as long as you own it after. There is NO SHOP better.

In '07 when I was going to re-power with a Yamaha I ended up dealing with Bernie's in Victoria. Yamaha only authorizes certain dealers to sell engines only, and others to sell packages of boats and engines. I could not have chosen a better dealer to transact business with, due to the owner being a shallow water fisherman like my self. It was a great experience and I would do it again.

Call Cody Roesner or Bruce Laser at Premier. They are two good guys and will bend over backwards to help you. They support this site as sponsors and it is a lot easier to get something done here rather than traveling up to Victoria.
