Mike, at Bluffs Landing Marina, told me they are hosting a boat show Jan 27-29. Lots of dealers, fenders, and demonstrations. Best of all, for us, it's all FREE.

Lots of fancy boats and vendors setting up yesterday. Y'all get out and support the Bluff. It's free.

I went down there today. It was a little windy and cold . I bought some jigheads from Laguna Jigheads. I saw shallowsport, panamayak, IMS, someone from the base who wishes he was retired. Now I'm back home sitting in my chair and my cat " Mr. Spock" is sitting in my lap. Have a great day.

I also bought some jig heads from Aaron at Laguna Jig Heads; can't go wrong with Trokar hooks. The show layout was well organized and the live music guy was great. Stan and I toured the boats displays but weren't in the market for the offerings. I marveled at the size of some of the motors - wow! Certainly worth the price of admission which is FREE.

Went by at 4:30 or 5 pm today, after sun came out. A few OK boats, but it appeared that there was enough room for only one model per manufacturer. Not many manufacturers of the myriad on the Texas coast were represented. We looked at a few boats, but no sales folks approached us. Wandered into the building, and the same. Quiet. I would suggest a larger venue, a crawfish boil, bargain at the Laguna Reef Restaurant on coconut shrimp, or free beer. That might get the folks showing up.

For free it was well worth it. Also got to meet some "FB Friends". Good to see the boats all in one place for a change. Music was good and the booths informative.
