Does anyone have a PINS report from the last couple days? I'm headed down from Austin tomorrow morning for a couple nights and hoping there's some activity down there to look forward to ahead of the front that's supposed to blow through late Thursday! Thanks in advance - Eric

I was there from Sat. afternoon through Mon. mid-day.

Driving was like a highway at low tide. High tide pushed you up near the dunes. Down to around the 17 you were in no danger of getting stuck at all.

Lots and lots of mullet in the wade gut up and down the beach, which caught lots and lots of skip jack and one 27" red.

Caught a blue fish as well, but there was a lot of chop in the surf so I didn't risk paddling it out as shark bait.

Couple of whiting caught on shrimp and fishbites. Hard heads were there, but not too much of a problem.

Good times were had. Others reported catching reds on cut skip jack, but I only caught other skippies with it.... Damn Cannibals. The fishing was slower than I was expecting, which means it may be on fire for you. The full moon probably didn't help since come sundown, the rum was calling my name...

Good luck my friend.

Thanks for the report! Everything looks good so far, although I'd prefer no dirty water. We're targeting shark mainly, so I'll post a report when we get back.

Tight lines all - Eric
