Need to do some work on my boat trailer (re-carpet boards for one). Anyone have any suggestions on a place to store boat while this is being done and/or know who would do this a a decent price?

If it's time for new carpet, it's probably time for new bunks and bolts. I carpet new bunks at my house and then just go to the boat ramp and swap out bunks in the parking lot.

Packery ramp has a huge parking lot and lots of dock space

good cheap advise right there if you don't have a place to dock your boat.

I hung mine in a slip over at COZWAY while I repaired mine. It was there about a week. I talked to Coz and he let me rent it for a week instead of a month. Reasonable price too... Adios

Not so simple on my trailer, how do I properly reproduce this board?

table saw. I picked up just a very cheap one many years ago and have easily run boards like that. Have also made some of my own trim with one and a router.

Do you know you have to replace the bunk itself, and not just the carpet?

The wood on those back boards is pretty soft, as in you can pull off handfuls of fibers in places

O.K., my next thought would be contacting your trailer builder and see what new bunks boards would cost. However, I'm a little concerned about what your original bunks are made of, and would not encourage you to re-purchase the same. Is it particle board? Is the bevel cut on your bunks straight, meaning it is not scalloped in the shape of the hull bottom? If it is straight, maybe you can find a wood worker/ contractor with large enough equipment to cut you new ones. Good luck with your bunk replacement.
