im getting lots of good reports from everyone. there are a lot of reds being caught this weekend from the JFK bridge all the way south past KRS on gold spoons, pink plastics and live and dead shrimp. also PINS and BHP are reporting good red action as well. there were some whiting being caught with fishbites in the surf. my friend Patric Lee came very close to a state record when he caught a barred grunt (surf perch) in the surf at PINS but it just didnt quit make it. they are a small fish but the excitement of almost breaking a record is exciting anyway. a record is a record right. anyway flounder are being caught with live pearch rigged on a carolina rig and also on jigheads in both tx chicken and white curly tail plastics in the channels and gigged at night in the packery flats. some trout were reported on gold spoons along with reds. various colors are working if you just work them over the sand pockets below pita and down to baffin working close up tight to the KRS. the reefs in the back bay are also still producing good numbers of good quality box size trout and drum as well. keep those reports comming in. you all are doing a good job of letting everyone know whats going on by letting me report your fishing experience....thx...until next time GOOD LUCK TO ALL
