| Welcome back Luke. Even though it'll be for only a few days. With spring break and rough conditions I don't know anything about Packery as I have not been out to the beach at all. Hopefully others will be able to inform you. Good luck |

I know it's not packery, but I watched at least 5 limits of sheepshead get pulled up at Bob Hall yesterday. So ya its that time _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |

Hope you find some fish Luke!
Not trying to hijack, but I have to smile and shake my head with some of the posts about wind.... CC is ALWAYS relatively windy, and the late winter through spring are when is "blows the oysters off the rocks" with only a slight reprieve now and then.
If memory serves, the first CCFF offshore trip was June 6, 2010 (correct me if I'm wrong), and It was howling from the SE before dawn with 6-7' seas (and occasionally larger), and had been doing that for a few months before!
Waiting on your "Slayed 'em" report....... _________________ Dave

Good to hear from ya Dave! My best day for goats at packery was sometime between march 17th and 22nd a few years ago, it was windy as hell and the surf was a sloppy brown mess. We had two limits and left with the jetty elbow to elbow with bent rods all round. Needless to say, I will fish rain or shine. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |
