Can anyone tell me if the mullet are in the surf? I'll be at mustang island starting tomorrow morning. Very Happy

Usually at this time they're there.

I was down over the weekend/Monday, plenty of ponies but the schools of fingers were few and far between. Managed a couple of dozen close to shore at Packery Channel. It should not be long now before they are cruising close to shore. Good Luck!

I saw a solid row of mullet about 6" long each swimming alongside of the Packery Channel on the surf side today. It was over 100 yards long. They were headed towards the gulf. They were about 20' away from the surf, just out of casting range.

Port a jetties on the channel side has 4-8" mullet
