Saw this shark left on the beach. About 5'. This is what surf looked like. To the dunes.

My guess is that it died during the fight and was opened up to check for living pups. Its a female, and Ive heard of pups being released after momma didnt make it.

Hope that was the case but, evenso, why not cut it up into steaks instead of just leaving it on the beach? Waste of a good shark.

I heard the same story. It was caught and tagged. Didnt make it and was found later washed up on shore. Warden cut it open to check for pups. Not sure how true it is though. Makes sense though.

You missed the big prize. Had some friends that parked near the shark and found a $1500 dive camera that by the looks of if made its way from the caribbean based on the video and pictures on it. It was covered in barnacles but once cleaned up worked just fine.

I'll bet someone would pay good money to get that back, and/or at least the images....I know I would....

I have certainly found my fair share of 'good stuff' on the beach, but nothing approaching that $$$$. Way to Go!!! Cool
