Was planning on heading South this morning but with reports of brown water down there think I'll stay closer to the Backyard area. Plus there is a big fishing tourney and boats will be everywhere. I wouldn't mind a red or 2 especially for my guest. He is a mechanic from North Carolina who is down here installing a new piece of machinery in the foundry. The weather looks great this morning but winds are supposed kick up late this afternoon. Report later......I hope.  IMS
Well hell 1 trout 1 red....fished from pureoil to the jfk. Picked off both fish in the backyard. To the idiot in the white Shallowsport that cut me off not once but twice and close. You are lucky the topwater didn't go 5 more ft because I slung it as hard as I could. It would have been the sucker catch of a lifetime. Folks that guy was a loser if there ever was one I swear.

| I had a rude "guide" mess up my area today. Drifting and catching trout, after 2 drifts a guide pulls in, drops off 4 customers to wade fish, and they spread out across my entire area. Pi$$ed me off. |

Probably the same pinhead that I ran across last year. Dropped his party off like 80' downwind of my kayak and then yelled at me for interfering with his charter. He was such a tool one of his customers apologized.  |

Not just the weekends. I haven't found a day this year that I have not been cut off, run over, potlicked, or had the shoreline I was poling burned by a guide or tourney boat. About to give it up and schedule the surgery the Dr. wants me to have. Wanted to get in some good days before the real crowd hits in May, but ............. |
