I saw an intriguing small flat bottom skiff with a center console, a 90 hp 2 stroke Yamaha, and "Puddle Jumper" painted on it's side in Port A last week at the storage stalls where I currently keep my boat, and was wondering if anyone here could tell me more about the hull, builder, etc. |

| Thanks for the reply NaplesJohn. It occurred to me it could have been built by the owner, but did not think about the Farley shop. It reminded me of a skiff a fellow in Port A built for GCCA in about 1980 for the Austin banquet, and Robert McCurty bought it. I can't recall the builder's name at this time, but I do recall he was known for his craft. The one I saw had a center console styled with aluminum risers off the deck and a small console top with a steering wheel, probably used standing up. |

Could the builder of the boat you mentioned be Bubba Milina or Doyle Marek? They were known for the skiffs they built. Farley boat works is duplicating many of their designs. |

| After some thought, the name of Gaines, either, as a first or last name comes to mind. He may have been a guide operating out of Port A, as well. |

Smokey Gaines, he was Bubba Milina's son in law for a while. He builds Bubba's design. They are great boats. |

| That's the name jbonorden! You win the cigar! I don't know if the Puddle Jumper boat I saw is a Budda design, but it certainly reminds me of the hull. The new style center console is a nice addition. |
