although a shallow body of water I have read about fish caught there from time to time, but have never seen anyone fish any part of it from a kayak, why not? |

Not the cleanest / freshest body of water In our area, but it does hold fish and kayakers aplenty. As kayaking is per getting wet, I prefer areas like Wilsons cut or North of the Packary, or even the Humble Channel area. _________________ I wouldn't take Tuesday off if you will show me a fish that bites on weekends! |

Your replies are interesting. Because I am always observing Oso from the highway, at no particular time of the day, I'm not seeing the kayakers. Thanks for the replies. |

It would be nice if they made a nice launch for kayakers. I've seen more in there last year than years before. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

Oso was where I fished most before I had a Kayak...most of the spots are easy to wade to. Like AT said...the yakkers are there....just not where you can see em...or when you can see em. It is a real hit or miss place..either it is on or it is not. just don't taste the water! |

| Osojet, your comment about the water is the second reference to the quality of the water, is sewer released into Oso? BTW, I don't generally taste salt water, but I don't think that is relative to your comment? |

Follow the creek on Google earth. You have the landfill, waste water station, a few major storm water discharges upstream. I am sure the water is fine about the waste water discharge. Just been a running joke.
If the water taste to fresh you might not find the trout. Lol _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

There's not any fish in the Oso, go somewhere else.
You can't see the lines from the shore!!! |

| It used to be really good for trout before that bacteria messed it all up. But if you are on oso off ocean you will see the yakkers. |

I have caught more than my share of fish in the oso behind the college on kayak. ..like I've read somewhere before 90 percent of the fish is caught in ten percent of the water. ..there are plenty of oyster reefs about two hundred yards west of the bridge and thats where i have my best luck...make sure you have moving water incoming or outgoing doesn't matter. ...throw topwaters in the morning and as the day progresses move to an eighth ounce jig with a norton sand eel or paddle tail...guarantee you will come home witha few fish _________________ FISH ON!!! |

Another thing if you throw live shrimp under the bridge in the spring and summer time can be deadly for 20 inch plus trout. ..I've seen a man in a 12 foot jon boat paddle out under the bridge and just slaughter the trout freelining live shrimp..again moving tide _________________ FISH ON!!! |
