After a slow start this season the Redheads have finally started to show on open water in the back yard. Dmchan and I got our limit quickly yesterday with little effort ,we got to the blind a little late around 3:30 set up the decoys and settled in . We noticed a raft of redheads on the shore line of a neighboring spoil island and figured we wouldn't have much of a chance pulling birds in to our spread with real birds 300 yards away. The first flock we saw made a b-line for the real birds with out a second glance at our deeks. The next flock never saw the real birds or didn't where they were, they locked in on our spread and it was game over for two redhead hens. Fifteen minuets later the same scenario this time one hen and one drake were feet up in the decoys. We decided to wrap it up and head back home with an hour of shooting time left,which made for a very relaxing evening. Well i was going to post a picture of the birds but my photo bucket is having an issue so i will post the pic later if i can figure out the problem Confused

Ok looks like the wife figure the photo bucket issue out don't know what i would do without that fine woman, so heres the pic of yesterdays birds. Very Happy

Iv been avoiding them this year and only shot one read head this year. I need to go get my read head fix pretty soon. Glad to here there showing up.
