Getting about time to fish those deep holes: it's 30 degrees up here this morning, supposed to drop close to 21 by next Tuesday!!!!!
Been trying to hook up with a big buck but can't go today: our package unit has developed leaks in the heat exchanger and blows itself out after one heat cycle! Soooooooo, it's 63 degrees in the house this morning....... That with an Edenpure heater running on low all night. Another $5,075 down the drain for a new unit, as replacing the heat exchanger is darn high, and then what will go next on the 15 year old unit? In the interim I gotta get the fireplace cranking to keep or crawlspace pipes from freezing in a few days, so that means being house bound at least until momma gets home from work.
Enjoy the cold weather fishing y'all. I'd MUCH rather be down there fishing the surf for pomps or the holes for trout!!! _________________ Dave

Units down here in the salt only last 5 years. Maybe 7 if lucky. Stay warm!! _________________

Yeah, we have been lucky at almost 15 years from this one. Buying one which has SS heat exchanger with a 20 year warranty, 10 on the compressor.
Another one bites the dust..... And this is after dropping $500 into the old one in just the last 3 months!
C'est la vie... 25 here this morning. Drake would have been busting ice to get the decoys in! _________________ Dave

I take it that pf should have been of, otherwise I'm lost!
Don't know about that. Lake Maumelle is just now into the low 50' and I can't find a temp on any of the Arkansas River flow listings. Having said that, with these temps and the days growing shorter it won't be long. Coldest November that I can remember in 42 years living here...... More global warming!!! _________________ Dave

Thanks.
I have never found a site or place to get water temps for any of the corp nav rivers in Arkansas. You can get the temps for say Shoal Bay and and have an idea whaat it MIGHT be around Paris and Ozark. When those waters freeze the duck hunting on the islands in the channel is GREAT. If you can get a boat in the water, through the ice at the ramp. |
