Does anyone know if there is anyplace where a jetty cart can be rented?

Wife and I are going to be down at Port A for a few days in a week or so and plan on fishing some at both the north jetty at Port A and at Packery and don't want to buy a cart that will only get used once every couple of years or so.

Any advice or information is appreciated.

Thanks

You can rent a jetty cart at Fishermans Wharf in Port A to fish the north jetty, I believe $10 for the day. Not sure about the Packery. Good luck on ya'll trip.

As stated above, they rent the carts at the same place you get on the jetty ferry.

Go to harbor freight and get the $30 dolly and some bungee cords.

When you get home, you still have a dolly to use.

That would work, but, it would be another item to have to keep up with and we have limited room in our vehicle. $10.00 for a one day trip is not that much. We will probably only do one day at the Port A north jetty and depending on the fish one day at Packery and maybe a trip to Bob Hall, even though the last two times we were down there we never fished Bob Hall.

we got a cart that is more like a wagon has cloth sides but it folds up really great to fit in a car trunk. we got it at sams for 59 dollars. just prefect to fit a small cooler for drink and tackle box and live bait buckets. then we put 2 folding chairs on top and rods then tie off with bungee cords. works well at bob hall. you can add the pvc pipes if you need too for rod holders or an umbrella holder. since we are now seniors this cart is easy for us to pick up and go and take out on the piers. not bulky and it folds in case you dont have a truck
