Frigate birds... Gotta love 'em. They've been putting us on the mahi here in the keys the past few days.

Do you have any pictures that show the sun the bird and the shore? Just curious how high he was soaring. .... Very Happy

Love those birds. We see a few juveniles each year at the near rigs. They will kill seagulls if they are mad enough when it comes to competing for food.

Hey Steve here is a little better picture, you can tell how low the bird was and where I was anchored. Just go find that cloud and you got it.

I don't know about how aggressive they can be toward other seabirds but
when this guy showed up the terns left but the gulls hung around.
