Looks like our Port A north jetty trip will have better conditions than the previous weeks. Steady weather pattern and winds with lack of floating weed should make for a good outing. What do you all think?

What he said.
Enjoy time with him every chance you get.
I lost mine a little over a year ago.

Screw the seaweed and the wind... There's fish to catch if the wind is blowing outta the SE. If I could go back I would've spent a little more time on the water with my grandpa.

Dang straight. I called mine Big Dad and we waded a lot when I was a kid. It was a golden time.

I wish my dad liked fishing. He absolutely hates the salt water. At least I get to take my father in law once in a while. It's nice but still not my dad.

My dad loved to fish, and it was a hobby he, my brother and I shared many times. From catfish to snapper, he loved it all. When he was eighty and his hips were hurting him, he would still wade fish even though getting in and out of the boat was very painful. I was lucky to have had him as a father, a teacher, and a fishing buddy.

My dad grew up in CC and grandpa and him worked at the NAS is late 60s early 70s. Dad moved here to Arkansas in mid 70s. He use to bring us down to Corpus every summer to fish and hang out.

He has been gone now 5 years. He was only 55 and some of my fondest memories are spending time with him fishing and hunting. Next week will be my 3rd trip back to Corpus since he has passed. I will be bringing along my 10 year old daughter and 13 near old nephew. Hoping they remember it and grow to love it like I did.

Best of luck to you and your Dad.

Erik

I noticed on the weather report there are gonna be some stiff winds tomorrow. We will be fishing the north jetty. Should we continue with our plans or try another time?
