| We went to Mac's every March and April to get leader material for making ling leaders for our trips to the Port A jetties. In 1968 or 69, I got my first reel there, I would have been 8 years old. Penn # 9. Still have the reel, needs a little work, but still works. That reel caught a lot of fish over 45 years...Makes we want to run to Roy's to get the parts I need to fish with it again.... |

I have a 1960's map that shows all the old bait shops and such in the area at that time. I need to find it. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Bob Renaud ...... heckuva nice guy. As a kid I would go into Gulf Hardware and oooh and aaah at the pictures of tarpon and big macks from Bob Hall Pier. He took all of those pictures over to his store later.
Cage's at Six Points used to sell a lot of tackle too. |
