It is the deal with commas and apostrophes pasted in from word. You have to manually remove them and retype them in your post. Don't know why. Email your report to me at Tyler at Corpusfishing.com

ok.. trying this one more time....

The fiancee and I got onto the Island around 2AM Sat morning and headed straight to the Station street pier by the coast guard station. Managed to pull up a few Gafttops for the ice chest before calling it a night about 3:30.

Caught the first boat to the N jetty at 7AM and the sheepies were THICK. Pulled in probably around 60 between myself the fiance and my parents but only managed 14 keepers with the largest coming in at 19". We saw a ton of action on top w/ what I imagine were smacks busting up mullet swimming along rocks but never managed to hook into any of em. My mom hooked onto a 4+ ft Blacktip that bit through the leader after a short-lived 10min fight. I also had a red bust me off on the rocks. Called it a day around 2 when we ran out of bait and headed to catch the boat back and check out Sandfest. All fish were caught on live shrimp.

Headed back to the Coast Guard pier around 10 Sat night to find the Gafttops getting pulled up consistently. The Mrs. and I managed to squeeze in at the T and pulled up another 10 fish in the 20-25" range before pulling out around 2AM. All fish caught on the pier came on squid and fresh eel.

Took Sunday morning off to catch some much needed zzz's and start the fish cleaning. Managed to hit the S. jetties for a few hrs before the trip back to SA around 4 but the surf was a washing machine and the wind was whipping. Walked off empty handed around 6 and got on the road back home.

All in all, it was a great trip and we met some great people on the island as always. The trip was planned to bring the girl and parents down to Sandfest and we were blessed enough to bring home some good fillets for the annual Good Friday fish fry w/ the fam. Life is good!

thanks for finishing the report. I was a little confused when i saw this the other day. Sounds like a good saturday. I was out there sunday and the surf was not playing around. I tried to fish the end with a couple buddies and it was pretty much impossible.
