Referinng to the artifical reef that was set out last fall between Packery and PA just inside state waters. I realize weather has been crappy, but was wondering if anyone has fished the reef and was wondering if fish have found the structure yet and if it is marked with bouys.
Thanks

I follow the TPWD Artificial Reef Program on FB. Last week they had an article about this topic and reported and abundance of both adult and juvenile fish taking up residence in the structures.

Lots of good information with regular updates from them.

yes, the center of the reef is marked with a buoy....you can get on TPWD website and get the exact coordinates for all the corners....

a buddy got out there a couple weeks back, and said that there is a bunch of barely undersized snapper, so this summer should be gangbusters....

looking forward to getting out there myself...

HOW CAN THAT BE!?!?!?!

We all know that THE red snappers are an endangered species, and they really only exist as lines of code in various stock assessment models. Laughing

Not so fast, I'm pretty sure I've figured out a way to mothership two 15' kayaks on the big boat. Wink
