Beast! Been on some boats where some 60 pounders were caught, but I had no idea they got THAT big. The dedicated ling pitch rig when I go out is an avet sx on a jigging rod - pretty sure that wouldn't have gotten the job done on that one!

Nice. I've sane monsters in Florida before. But I do wonder. For a fish that was shot 3 times with a spear gun. There are no holes to be seen and is dispraportinate on eithe side. Being held in a way that the fish would not lay like that. Photoshopped? But who knows if it's true great snag. Now put down a bait and try to catch one that big and see who triumphs lol.

I thought the same thing daskew. Said they weighed it on multiple scales. We'll see in a few months if its certified. But, here is another picture of the monster. Look at the freaking head on this thing. Dude's head looks like its about to explode.

According to the story along with the second picture (where you can see the head-shot that likely brought this beast down), it was speared by multiple people, therefore it won't qualify for any records.

Too bad, because that is a pig of a lemonfish.
