Has anyone ever used one of these poles and if so what do you think. Read good things about them online. _________________ "I'm telling you, those Reds are in there THICK! |

I use one and it has slayed 389 redfish, 48 drum, 7 trout. I've broken the tip before just glued it back on. That rod is a FIGHTER! For the price you cannot go wrong. Mine is the old version though. Black with blue and red color. Got it second hand from OsoJet. _________________

Had one 6' 6" for 2 years before the tip broke off. You're probably better off just spending the extra 20.00 for the 49.99 Allstar that will last forever, I have Allstars that are like almost 20 years old. But if money is an issue the Tourney Choice will last a while. _________________ But you ain't got no legs Lt. Dan, I know that |

I've never liked the normal versions, but they had one with pink wraps I really liked and got it for my wife (I swear I never used it ) and it was a nice light thin rod and really had good action. Unfortunately it snapped and that was the only one I've ever seen at any of our Academy stores here. For a decent rod from Academy I really like the 7' CCA rods, and of course whenever the All Stars go on sale they're a good bet. _________________ JJ |

I have 2 that I've used for over 3 years and they are still working out great. I use them at the piers and such. I have taken them to PINS a few times and they've held up there as well. _________________ (( Living the life I was born to live.....
