Took my nephew out to teach him about that salt life on Friday. Fished close to the area that had been productive for me the past few weeks but was a little easier to access since I had him with me. Waded out and found our spot by around 5:15. The last light of day and the peak of the high tide seemed to be the ticket. Brought some shrimp along with us just in case but started with Gulps under a Mauler type float. Never needed to switch to bait. Left them biting and were out of the water by 6:30 when he started getting cold. Picture is a little blurry since I was a little out of breath carrying the fish back to the truck.

| Great catch! I'm new to all this, never thought of using Gulp Arty's with a cork, pretty cool!. |

Boy, if that does not spoil him, nothing will. Hope he does not expect this to be the norm. If it is, I want to fish with "uncle", too....

| Thanks and I did explain to him that it doesn't always work out so well on every trip. He has been out with me when we didn't do so well and to this point had never experienced a day quite this good. On the way home he did tell me that he is officially hooked and that it was worth the discomfort of the cold and of wearing waders. He told me that he used to just like fishing but now loves it!!! |
