The wife and I wandered out there around 9am and found a spot about three miles down from the asphalt.

I picked up some shrimp that turned out to be mush so we stuck with fishbites until I brought in a whiting for cutbait. Water clarity was a little dissapointing and the tide was high with a strong side current. The tide was really rising a lot, I had to move the truck twice. Even so we managed four keeper size black drum and called it a day by 1pm.

Driving was excellent and there was tons of traffic headed south.

I sounds like good few hour fishing trip. Question, is the surf to ruff for Pomps or dirty?
