I just heard that the boat ramp at Nueces Bay is charging to launch and to park a vehicle. I haven't launched there in a week or so and they weren't then but I was told that someone got charged within the last two days. Any truth to this?

I thought that was a public launch...who owns that property?

While the launch is public, the parking lot is leased from the state. They are not charging to launch, only to park. Not sure how you would launch and not need a place to park, but that's the story.

Interesting...but just don't pull your boats to the other side and park on the sand/my yak launching spot. It is amazing how nice that place looks compared to before Cool
