The other day wife and I were fishing Packery Channel ,we could see the reds all around us .We threw everything we had in the boat at them live shrimp and finger mullet .They wouldnt hit nothing.
Any suggestions /

I've landed all mine in finger mullet live and dead hooked through the head.
Once Dead I semi filet the tail so it has exposed flesh flaps on each side. Hope that helps?

Are you sure they weren't drum? Theres been a school of drum hanging out in the channel.

Assuming they were reds, reds will rarely turn down a gold spoon. Or cut skipjack.

Could have been drum ,they were just visable below the surface .Will add gold spoons and gulps to tackle tomorrow .
