Well my fishing was temporarily interrupted this weekend as I was called out on another rescue mission. This one is the most hair raising experience I've ever had and I probably aged a couple of years during the short episode. My son and his wife were headed over for dinner when they saw 8-10 ducks running down the center of the Oso bridge shoulder. He called me and asked could I rescue them, him knowing his dad he knew I would say yes and I did. By the time we got there all had been run over except for 2 and they were in the center of the bridge headed toward the Bluff and traffic was lunch hour busy. I knew I was going to be hit by a speeding car. Armed with my trusty net we darted across the road and somehow I netted both in one swoop. I can't believe the 2 cops that drove by didn't stop, not even to issue us a ticket for saving the ducks they just went on by. Probably headed to Jaliscos. So here they are meet Oso, and Webby. I'll take high winds and heavy seas anyday over the middle of SPID. They have a nice cage, never ending food, and they love the swimming pool. Sometimes I think that the Lord sends me little gifts from time to time but this time he was putting the test on me.

| Make sure since they are migratory birds that you are not in some violation of keeping them or even molesting them. I accidently backed over two Canadian Goose goslings at Navsta Everett, Wa and you would think I had committed a mortal sin (note - there are more Canadian Geese in the Everett, Wa area than there are seagulls). |

Let them come get me. My 3 chows will be glad to meet them. Yes Everett is covered in Goose poo poo. Been there. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Great humanitarian work there Stan.
Its a shame people will slam on the breaks for a black cat because it is "bad luck", but will plow through some of God's innocent creatures so not to...(insert your lame excuse here_________).
Hold my cell phone and watch this. _________________

Great job Stan! I have no doubts those little guys will do great! I got to rescue a juvenile jack rabbit from our elevator pit and 3 doves that had fallen from their nests at work. All were rehabbed and released successfully. Great feeling!! _________________ I like fishies |

| They appear to be Young Mallards. I have seen many Mallard mommas with their young and these look like them. |

The ducks are doing fine and eating like pigs. They have a 5 star cage, never ending food, swimming pool, and room service. They are Mallards, or Mexican ducks, not to be confused with the Mexican Whistler. I'm leaning toward The Mexican duck looks like a female Mallard but not a Mallard. I know it's not fishing related but it is cool. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
