There was some fresh weed in the mix yesterday pm around Access Rd. 3, but not an awful lot of weed. Just dirty water out to the end of the 4th bar. Looked fishable but nobody had a line in the water, and from what I have read (and seen), it's all hardheads, all the time until the currents move out this colder, dirty mess.
Can't really comment on Bob Hall and south, the beach is so torn up in that direction and I don't have an appropriate vehicle to make it down there. (But I plan on walking the north sticks this pm, so stay tuned.....). |

Not much has changed in the surf. The greenish water is closer, about the 3rd bar at the north sticks. Not much weed. Still two definite swell directions, so the surf is still a washing machine. Temperature is slowly warming, with the lows only going to the high 70's/ low 80's. Cold water is dissipating.
Walked WAY into the National Seashore and all I have for my efforts was 1 lousy acorn! Still a good walk. If anyone is looking for quite the assortment of driftwood, that is THE closest place to go. |
