No not biting people, but they were ruthless on the baits! A group of eight kayakers hit some rigs yesterday and the sharks were ON. I caught 6 but fought a bunch more, including a couple over 6ft. I had steel leaders bit in half, hooks shaken off during jumps, and other enjoyable nonsense, but that's why we call it fishing, not catching. Nearly all were blacktip or spinners, with a couple of sharpnose thrown in. I lost a king at the kayak when the hook pulled a couple feet out of gaff range... bummer, he was over 50 inches. I managed another king later that taped out at 47.5" so I had some fish in the bag. Only one undersized cobia was caught by the group.

Water conditions? Clean water, scattered areas of weed but still very fishable, and confused surf with a wave period of like 2 seconds. Confused It was rough and sloppy enough that some guys in the group didn't bother to try video at all. I got quite a bit, but didn't get some of the coolest shots due to slower reactions in the messy chop.

Well done Prof. Looks a bit uncomfortable out there with the chop, but def worth it. Not every day the sharks are out in force like that. Nice camera work too.
