I don't really see the need to know WHERE to fish in the bay as much as WHAT to fish in the bay, but here is the reason no one will tell the internet where their spots are (this is especially true offshore and for flounder):

I have a great spot I discovered (even though I probably was not the first person to find it).

I tell my buddy. Now he fishes my spot.

Eventually it becomes HIS spot.

Now, he tells his buddy and his buddy fishes his spot.

I decide to try it one day.

But, there are five boats there and the fishing sucks.

Out of frustration I now have to change careers to a job where I get weekdays off because all my spots are covered up with boats every weekend and I'm very sad Arrow Crying or Very sad

I have a story about taking someone fishing to your spot. Imagine me having a story! Laughing The year 1979 and I am commercial fishing with a rod and reel. I have discovered, if you make that horrible walk out to the CPL Spillway in Oso Bay at night, you would catch between 50-75 lbs. of trout a night on lures. This came out to around $100.00 a night on a really good night. Shocked I also worked part time at a print shop. One of the guys I worked with asked if I would take him fishing one night where I was catching all the trout. He promised to keep it a secret. Well, I took him one Saturday night and we had a lot of luck. The very next night when I went out there I saw a couple trucks parked where I had been parking. As I neared the spillway in the dark I could see 5 or 6 guys right where I had been fishing and my friend was right in the middle of the group. I turned around with no one even knowing I had been there. I never said anything, but I had learned a valuable lesson that I remembered all through my fishing career as a guide. Well, 10 years later, I now enjoy giving enough information where other anglers have a chance to catch a few. I have to honestly say it's more learning "How" to fish and what to fish with, than it is where you fish, in some instances anyway. Wink Smile
