Met up with Ben, and had the Eco System 2 installed on my Durango.

filled up directly afterward.

I was averaging 13mpg before replacing my tires. Noticed after monitoring my gas mileage over the last two tanks that I am getting worse city mileage with the new 32 inchers installed.

Last two tanks I got 11.5mpg and 12.3 mpg respectively.

So an improvement would be a great thing.

Did notice on the way to the gas station and home a little better throttle response and acceleration, and a smoother idle. Nothing dramatic, like swapping up to a Vette engine but more like it just had a mild tune up using stock plugs (which it is overdue for a tune-up, but that's another matter).

For this test, I will continue to fill-up at the same convience store by the house with regular gasoline.

I do have to say Ben knows his engines, and he had this thing installed in line on my injector rail in a matter of two or three minutes. The little decals also look really cool.

Will continue to monitor my mileage closely and report back tank by tank.

Sorry, no pics. The inlaws are in town and Tiff got lots of pics of baby and grandpa. He is recovering well, and felt good enough today to mow my brother-n-laws yard (taking a break every 15 minutes of course). Well, she didn't charge the batteries up, so got no pics, but will post a pic of the insalled unit next posting.

Big John, I'm not sure what your previos size tires were, but when I changed the factory tires on my Z71 from 245 75 16's to 305's, I definately lost city mpg, but my speedometer/odometer also became off by 7%. Meaning that to do 70 on the highway i have to set my cruise at 66. This then shows as a differnce on your hwy mpg becaues you are traveling 7% further than your odometer tells you that you have. (Lost my warrenty for doing also.) Can't wait for further results. And watch your hwy speeds.

Medic6 has posted good information. Changing tire size acts like changing the rear end ratio and can mess up your speedometer/odometer. You can reprogram your chip to compensate for tire size change, but you probably have to get the dealor to do it. If you made a significant tire size change, then your milage figures prior to tire change are pretty much worthless for comparison now.

True in the S-wagon I tracked my speed with a GPS and the speedometer reads about 10% slow of what I am truly traveling with my 33" tires.

Yep, already have had the speedo / odo adjustments. Was reading 10% off, ie, I'd be reading 60 on my speedo, but actually traveling at 66mph. Same with the Odo. On a check driving down, I would pass 10 mile markers on I37 and have my Odo show I have gone 9 miles! Shocked

So got that fixed. So that is a great point but not the cause of the altered mileage. Just having bigger tires that catch more wind. Very Happy

True, turning more mass is right.

Short report on morning rush hour traffic commute.

Started the Durango up, and you know what, the exhaust has almost no smell this morning. Normally the first start of the day is pretty raunch smelling for the first couple minutes. She also went to smooth idle almost instantly after start, without any burbling. This never happens this quickly, except right after I have the injectors serviced for the first 500 or 600 miles. So a big difference on how well the engine is running to start right off.

Bumper to bumper on the way in, I notice the toe in and toe off the acceleration is MUCH more smooth today. In creeping traffic it is usually a jump ride as the accelerator is very touchy. Nothing normally happens until the accelerator is pushed in a little, and then a slow reaction jump occurs in the throttle. Conversely, when releasing off the pedal, it drops of fast when it finally drops off, as if you completely let off the pedal.

Both of those "symptoms" are gone. Excellent throttle response. A little better, and smoohter accelleration.

Again, its no sports car, or engine upgrade, but it sure has made the manners on the engine much nicer.

If I dont get a lick of better gas mileage it would be worth the purchase price for the better mannered response in rush hour traffic. Very Happy

If I get better mileage - then all the better. Next report to follow soon.
