I plan to come down to corpus spring break and do some fishing and just want a little advice. Where would be some good places to go( i was thinking packery, bob hall, red dot, or wherever the birds are). What baits would be the best(i usually use shrimp) and what basic artificial tackle should i bring because i want to get more into that. basically i just want to know where i can produce some nice fish for a good spring break.

Try the Port Aransas North Jetty. Fishing is always good out there.

Spring Break (to me) is the worst time to head down to fish. Surf fishing is basically impossible due to the mass amounts of people. That mixed with hundreds of gallons of sun tan oil and poo poo in the water, fish ARE GONE. Some goes for Horace Caldwell, the party goers just ruin that block in time, MAYBE try the pier at night, North Jetty on the ship channel side could be decent too. Good luck my friend, post results.
