I'll be there, just need to know how to get there lol. Look for the beat up maroon and silver Subaru station wagon with 4 lights on the roof and 2 on the bumper. I'll probably wear one of my knifemaking shirts that have my logo on it so that people can tell who I am if they want to say hey. _________________ Jacob McDonald

I will be there.... Taking a friend from San Antonio and my daughter. This will be my first time but I am all excited and stuff....probably be there like at 5am or so...even tho I get off at 11pm on Friday night.
But it will be worth it.
Hey JM....all you have to do is go down 358...it turns into Park 22 in the Island...stay on it till you hit the park...and once in the park..stay on the same road and it will lead you to the meet up place.
And pick up an annual pass....it's only $20 and they give you a card...and with that card..anyone and everyone, in whatever vehicle you are in, gets in free....way too cool...
I will be in the Gray Tacoma that has a "FEAR NO FISH" sticker on the back windshield....because I fear no fish.....now spiders...that's a different story.
See you guys there....! _________________ (( Living the life I was born to live.....

Thanks. It will be my first time as well. I love the beach (just for fishing tho lol) and I don't like seeing it trashed.
YSA - Is that a spider under your chair?
BTW if you see a huge giant fake spider somewhere before the big cleanup, it wasn't me, lol. _________________ Jacob McDonald

Would it be a bad idea for me to bring my dog along with me? She loves the beach and when shes running around, she will pick up trash and sticks and run around with them in her mouth. On second thought it might be a bad idea cause I would have to try and keep track of her. Guess I'll just bring her with me the next time I hit big shell. _________________ Jacob McDonald

LOL I said BEFORE the big cleanup, not during. Don't forget to check under your chair you are sitting on right now. _________________ Jacob McDonald

My oldest daughter and I will be there. I'll have room for 3 passengers who need a ride down the beach. Also, if anyone has a trailer with no 4x4 tow vehicle I am willing to pull it. Shoot me a PM.

Yep going to be there early this time! We stuffed close to 500 goody bags last night and today I will be getting the snacks and supplies for the section leaders from HEB, Billy and some of the Friends of Padre members will be surveying the cleanup area and the parking lot situation and the usual suspect will be picking up 500 hot dogs and chili for tomorrow.
This year we will be handing out the bags at the beginning of the cleanup. Inside the bags will be pencils and survey cards along with gloves, koozies, fishbites, and info about Friends of Padre. Those survey cards will be filled out down island and after the cleanup those will be turned in with the pencils to pick up your t-shirt. We hope to get vital information that will make the event run smoother enabling us to send out e-blasts about the event and to purchase the correct number and sizes of t-shirts. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
