Just reds and trout today. Very very good size fish, only about 3 dink trout. 27-1/2" 8lb+ red, 31-1/2" red CPR (walked me around the boat for 10 minutes, had alot of fight in it), 24-1/2" trout and my buddy got a 18" trout, and another 27" redfish along with a few smaller slot trout. The trout and reds are footballs right now! I caught a 23" trout fishing around the new boat barns on NAS 25 minutes before I had to report for work yesterday. It was released and stands as the biggest NAS trout ive ever landed. Maybe they like the superbowl also...?

Im gonna quit waking up early on the weekends. Its funny, as soon as all the boat herd left the area, the fish showed up. Only had to flip off 2 boats today coming up from baffin cutting our drifts. Informed one newbie that it isnt a good idea to anchor up in the middle of the ICW either, and to move it to the side.
My 2013 mission is to get away from the smaller slot fish and find more upper slot and OS fish.

People were bad last Fall by Bird island cutting me off in my kayak. Just had to grin and bare it.

Yeah, some people are just $$$holios. I never understand why other fishermen have to pass downwind of boats drifting. I hate catching fish around other boats, they all crowd up on you like you have some magic crystal ball on your boat or something. I know I wont be leaving the dock till the crack of noon next weekend. I need a bigger cutting board!

Thanks. The last 3 trips out we have landed OS reds. Been years since I landed some OS reds. 10lb mono and big reds is a blast!
