I just started my first rod (will post pics when its done) and i did tons of research reading and watching videos. What kind of rod ya gonna build?

Great hobby and pt job. I learned it in highschool and it helped get me through college. Learned most of it from a book called custom rod thread art and anothr called cusyom rod building by the same author. But your best teacher will be patience

Thanks guys!
Sorry for the late reply, I've been off the boards for a couple of days.
I have a good start now. Hickroots I fish mostly inshore and want to make a 7' but I'd also like to make a nice 13' surf rod. I just think I want to take this hobby up for the days that I'm not on the water.
