GG, i will agree with ya on one thing...BBs non fishing posts are just silly!( and i mean that with the utmost respect bob Laughing ) But lets keep it real, when the rest of us were putting up reports...i dont recall ever seeing one from you...you wanna bitch about the lack of reports yet you have never contributed anything! Unless you used to go with a diff handle....your a new guy to the rest of us! Now....what ya got?

With that said...this happens on all the boards, year in, year out. Since the beginning of fishing message boards!

My take on this in one sentence...

When I go fishing with buddies, whether it's up here on freshwater in a boat, off the bank or in a kayak, or down there in the salt on the beach, a jetty, a pier or wading we tend to talk a lot and we usually talk about a lot of different things, oh we always talk about tackle and fish and honeyholes and a-holes but we also talk about wives and girlfriends and football and baseball and kids and stockshows and shooting and guns and wildlife and jobs and traffic and beer and we ride each other pretty hard and sometimes after we do more than just talk about beer we may shove each other a little bit, but arm wrasslin' usually settles that, and sometimes when the fish are biting we actually just shut up for a little while and catch fish, and sometimes we wander off by ourselves and don't talk to each other at all, but we know we're still connected and that's a good feeling, to know at the end of the day there is going to be someone to rag on, to brag to, to whine and cry to, and sometimes we give each other advice, and sometimes we ask for advice and our buddies look at us with a WTF do I care look but help us anyway and all this on a fishing trip and it kinda sounds like what we do here on corpusfishing. Very Happy

This forum name is "General Saltwater Fishing Forum"

It is NOT "Fishing reports"

To me 'general' means everything from where to access wadefishing spots to tackle.gear and yes, reports.

If we want to break it down like other sites into 20+ very specific forums, go for it. Personally I don't think the forum has enough followers/posters for that. Until then, quit nitpicking, go fishing!

Gig 'em! Class of 1993 here.

Come on with[ BOB THE BOBBER ] and new folks posting, who have no clue with, foot ball pics, and Sand trout pics, which are like going back in time, Whats next a hard head stringers ? No wonder serious fisherman and guides are vacating and this site ! THIS SITE USE TO BE ABOUT INFORMATIVE FISHING INFO, WHERE TO GO AND WHERE WE FOUND THEM, USING WHAT EVER, This site is being polluted with off the wall. discriminatory objectives, and political agendas or let's confront city hall, which i believe is a waste of time for fisherman in or out of town that need info. What a shame, I used to enjoy to see whats happening, and what they are biting on and where and what depth this week, and cool pics of catching. But now except for zia, iron man, trout catcher who pretty much fish in the back yard here and there and P.IN.S I feel like this site is ripe for a new more to the point fisherman vrs fisherman sharing, pertintent information format rather than this walk way at Packery is 3/4 " short for ADA access for a wheelchair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What will keep people from posting on this or any forum is evidenced in the tenor of your posts, not so much mine. Sensible persons are put off by forums that have members who respond with gnashing of teeth and squabble over whatever other forum members post. That has a chilling effect and impacts on any person's willingness to share their thoughts.

Most Internet forums provide a platform for freedom to exchange ideas and information. This corpusfishing forum contains a wealth of information. Tyler has given us this to use.

GG, The last I heard this is still the USA where people can exercise their rights to freedom of speech.

If you have an issue with my posts, there's a simple solution. Don't click on them. You have that option too, you know.

We really like to catch and eat flounder, sand trout and whiting. I posted pictures and detailed reports, but did not provide the GPS coordinates for you. I also edited the photos (removing buoys, etc.) to conceal the HH location.

Many other times, we caught fish, or didn't, but didn't bother to post photos or the reports. When weather is warm, might as well keep fishin'.

We don't target sharks, blues or kings, but we don't make disparaging remarks about those who enjoy that. Drum, reds and specs are fun to catch and eat too; I like those.

FYI, in years past, I was a weekly fishing columnist for a metropolitan daily newspaper, plus fishing editorial writer for several other newspapers and newsstand outdoor magazines. I've caught many various species of fish of all sizes from coast to coast. Been there. Done that.

Now in my senior years, I'm enjoying the Gulf Coast and fishing for whatever I want, whenever and wherever.

With very few exceptions, most of the people we enjoy in Corpus Christi are very courteous, warm and friendly. That's why we embrace this as our home. We're Texans, no longer Yankees.

And BTW, BB, do the math. The space between the railings measured 1-3/4 inches shy of the ADA minimum width, NOT what you reported I had posted. Let's be clear on that.

For the handicapped, that might be important to have their ADA rights of access upheld. I chose to support them.

Why not go and ask them if their ADA accessibility is irrelevant to them as you strongly believe.

GG, I hesitated to post this response to your unkind email but maybe now you'll find other ways to channel your anger if we can bring our personal interaction to an abrupt close.

You seem to delight in shooting the messenger and not the message. Well, as I said, it's a free country and you can sling whatever makes you happy. I can wash it off.

GG, can we just leave it at that? You can be pleased that you got through. I get it.

You don't like what I post. You don't like when, where and what I fish for.

I get it; you are understood.

I'll close with a proposed solution for your anguish.

Don't click on my posts; I won't click on yours. Can we agree on that?

THAT will free up space in this forum to attract the real fishermen that you believe are not posting.

As I answered to you in a previous response to one of your posts:

Peace and Love.

Try it. It works!
