I've been using Hodgeman neoprene waders but I'm looking to buy breathable waders today. I wade and kayak a lot so what kind or brand do you recommend? Thanks!

Go with Simms. I have gone through 2 pairs of Mag2's from academys. Thats the price of Simms. Pay now or pay later.

I've had good luck with the Magellans but I only use them about three times per year winter trout fishing.

My magellans leaked after a season, which is normal for me, as I use them quite a bit. The leaks usually occur in the legs around the seems. If they are leaking and you just got them, I would look for a refund.

The Mag2's from academy usually hold up for two years for me. Thats wading the guadalupe atleast once a week and the bays twice a month or so. Two years out of a pair of waders under $100.00 being heavily worn is OK with me.

4 years now with my breathable stocking foot hodgeman waders. they are used very hard fishing year round and about 20-25 ironman duck hunts each year. They have been real good to me. Key is the stocking foot, they dont come apart at the ankle area like lots of boot waders. All I do to keep em clean is rinse off with fresh water after each day and let air dry, then store in garage. Plus I got them about half price on their website when they went on clearance.

Sierra Trading Post has a ton of waders on sale at their online store, including all the brands mentioned in this thread. Go to their outdoor sports section, then scan the fishing category. Some good buys there. Also, lots of fly rods and gear, wading boots, etc., for those interested. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/fishing~d~14/

By the way, I have a pair of Cabelas breathables that have been very serviceable and reliable for 6 or 7 years. Don't know who makes them for Cabelas, but I'm very satisfied with them.

Is there some way I can 'fix' my leak in my breathable waders?

Return them if they are still new. Otherwise use some silicone sealant or a patch kit (or both!).
