The trip was planned last month when the wife surprised me with a calcutta 400B for my birthday and she wanted me to break it in. Laughing The wind was blowing hard. No signs of bait, good thing I bought some. Started out at the break in the jetty. Stayed there all day because of the wind. Managed a 20" flounder, 27" red, & some mangroves. C/R several sheepheads 14" to 15" range. A monster turtle went for live mullet. Shocked Start of day two went looking for some trout. First cast I land a 23" trout then a 19". Bite slowed down just small sheepheads. Moved back to the break. My wife lands a 20" trout. Got into some larger mangroves. Never made it pass the dunes to windy to play in the surf. Not a bad first trip breaking in the calcutta. Had a great weekend with the wife. Set-up with outcast popping cork with 4' leader with split shot 12" above hook, live shrimp & mullet. Here's some pic's of our trip. Very Happy

Way to make the best out of bad conditions. I rarely fish the channel side and never down that direction. Looks like I may have to start trying there. Thanks for posting another good report!
